Baltic storm

During the night of 20–21 October 2023, the highest recorded peak water level rose to 2.27 metres above mean sea level in Flensburg. This made it the most severe storm surge in the Baltic Sea since 1872. The damage to the coastline, ports, boats and flood defences is estimated at around 200 million euros.
